Columbus Bay

Trinidad
Nestled on the southern tip of Trinidad’s West Coast, Columbus Bay is said to be the landing point at which Christopher Columbus “discovered” the Twin Republic. A far point from the bustle of Port of Spain’s urban landscape, the lazy drive to the Bay is decorated by swaying coconut palms and copses of teak, remnants of Trinidad’s rich plantation history.

Featured in the background is one of the “Three Sisters” or Trinity Hills, the islands spotted by Columbus on his third voyage.
